Resource & Curriculum Portfolio
- Grade 11 Manitoba Curriculum -
Tansi (Cree), Boozhoo (Ojibway), Han (Dakota: feminine), Hau (Dakota: masculine), Aanii (Annishinabe), Edlante (Dene), Bonjour, Hello
This website outlines some amazing resources that can support the inclusion of Aboriginal perspective into various subjects in the Grade 11 Manitoba curriculum.
When appropriate, we have mentioned specific curriculum enduring understandings, general learning outcomes (GLOs) and/or specific learning outcomes (SLOs) from various Grade 11 curriculum guides as well as from the Integrating Aboriginal Perspectives into Curricula document.
Our teachable backgrounds cover History, Geography, English and Physical Education in the Senior Years and that has driven the focus on this portfolio. Many of these resources, however, can be adapted to fit the needs of any number of subjects and/or grade levels.
To learn more about the Manitoba curriculum and see our curriculum standards in context, please visit the Manitoba Education: Education & Literacy Curriculum page.
To learn more about Aboriginal perspective in education, please visit the Integrating Aboriginal Perspectives into Curricula document.
Miss. L (left) and Mr. T (right), are education students in their
last year of study at Brandon University.
