This package was first distributed as a supplementary conference package for the session, Teaching Aboriginal Topics, at the 2012 MTS Fab 5 Conference in Brandon, Manitoba. It features over 40 activities that have been used successfully in the "Topics in First Nations, Metis and Inuit Studies" class. It includes assignments, lesson plans, assessment rubrics, novel studies, comprehension questions and much more! Topics covered include: - Aboriginal Legends - World View - Residential Schools - The Indian Act - Missing & Murdered Women - Aboriginal Role Models - and more This has been an extraordinarily helpful resource and we actually used and modified several of these activities when we were out student teaching.
