Classroom Use
Quinzhees could be used as part of a Phys-ed class as part of a two part project: - Studying the methods and techniques to successfully build the structure - Physically building the structure (including the appropriate motions and proper technique) This may be an opportunity to bring in a member of the community who is familiar with the structures to share their expertise, demonstrate, and explain further. Building Quinzhees could also be completed as part of an extension activity with a Snow Shoeing trip. This may also be a project that could provide cross-curricular opportunities with Science, Physics, and Math in regards to the structural design. |
